The story of Adam and Eve offers a powerful metaphor for the ways we try to escape our most painful emotions. Faced with shame and fear, they hide—just as we often hide from ourselves and from others rather than confronting those difficult feelings directly. This avoidance can trap us in harmful patterns, preventing us from growth.
Teshuva—the practice of returning—invites us to do the opposite. Instead of running away, we turn back: to ourselves, to one another, and to God.
* Lunch will be provided.
