Inspiring Jewish and Israel education programs for adults in Metro Atlanta
A vibrant hub of Jewish life in the heart of Sandy Springs
Atlanta is home to a rich tapestry of Jewish learning and engagement opportunities. Yet, as a people with a 3,000-year history and a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives, we continue to seek new ways to connect with our past, make sense of the present, and shape a vibrant future.
Many of us who are already active in Jewish life are searching for something deeper—more knowledge, more meaningful connections, and greater access to today’s leading Jewish thinkers. We long for immersive learning experiences that inspire critical thinking, foster persistent questioning, and empower us to act with confidence. We want to meet new people who challenge our perspectives, enrich our lives, and reignite our sense of purpose.
For others, the events of October 7 sparked a renewed desire to better understand the situation in Israel or gain clarity on the alarming rise in global antisemitism.
And some of us feel distant from Jewish life—unsure how to reengage, hesitant to attend events alone, or uneasy in traditional Jewish spaces.
Wherever you are on your journey—whether you’re a lifelong learner, newly curious, or reconnecting with your Jewish identity—The Dupree offers a welcoming space for exploration and growth.
Join us for thought-provoking, high-quality Jewish and Israel education featuring respected speakers, educators, and leaders from across the Jewish spectrum.
Together, we will deepen understanding, strengthen community bonds, and inspire meaningful action to build a thriving Jewish future in Atlanta.

Join us for a four-part series with historian Dr. Eli Sperling that traces the evolution of the U.S.–Israel relationship over the past century. Each week’s session places major political, social, and regional shifts into context—helping participants understand how the partnership was built, transformed, and why it matters today. Topics include early American Jewish engagement with Zionism, Cold War history, strategic cooperation, and contemporary political dynamics.

In partnership with Ahavat Achim Synagogue, The Dupree invites you to a three-part Lunch & Learn series designed to help you approach Passover with greater understanding, confidence, and intention. Led by Ahavat Achim’s rabbis, each session explores a different dimension of the holiday—from the biblical roots of the Exodus to the structure and meaning of the Haggadah, and practical tools for creating a meaningful, engaging seder experience for all ages.

Israel's wars with Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran mark, in many ways, a high-water mark in U.S.-Israel strategic cooperation. But polling data and the explosive growth of attacks (verbal and physical) on Jews raise alarms about the future of the American Jewish community and the relationship with Israel. What might the future hold, and what can we do about it?

Interactive discussion topics will facilitate connections and spark conversations that leave you thinking differently and wanting more.
"The real antidote to antisemitism is Jewish thriving."
In his 2023 article, Bret Stephens argues that antisemitism is not ours to solve. Instead, he urges us to focus on living proud, vibrant Jewish lives and on building a “flourishing, secure, and morally self-confident state of Israel.”
This perspective—combined with the urgency of current events—inspired Jewish leaders in Atlanta to create a new hub for learning, connection, and meaningful action.
